A Big Step Closer to Home

Larry is resting at Iowa Methodist and Peg is resting in her own bed! They landed at about 5:45pm, just as Curtis, Nate and Jay were pulling up. Everything went well with the flight - Larry didn't have any problems or issues. The kids and Curtis got to meet them briefly on the tarmac before the ambulance took him to Methodist.

They saw him again later after he got settled and then got Peg home and reunited with Nola. We are so excited to have him back and one step closer to home.

We want to send a big THANK YOU to everyone in Boston who got Larry to this point. I'm told many showed up to send him off, evidence of how much they really care for him.

  1. Welcome home Larry and Peg. Prayers are being answered.
The rehab group at Methodist can play a mean game of volleyball.
    Keep up the excellent progress.

  2. How thankful we are for all the care and support for both Larry and Peg that has brought them home safely to Des Moines. We hope for continued speedy healing so everyone is sleeping in their own bed. Good job Larry and Peg. Good job keeping us up to date, Curtis.

  3. Tell Larry that we are glad that he is back home and spending his healthcare dollars at IMMC! My brother saw his ambulance pull up at the Bedford airport yesterday, but didn't know that it was the friend that we had told him about! I'm sorry he didn't know or he'd have given him a good sendoff from Mass. Jeannie Malatesta

  4. Welcome back to the "Land of the Corn". Private flight to Iowa? ... some guys really rate! Glad Peg is back in "comfort zone" surroundings. I'm sure that Nola is glad to see her, and will get her "tennis arm" back in shape. We're very happy for both of you!
